The Beginning
of this Adventure.
Michael’s career blends science, education, and photography. What began with curiosity and a love of learning in Utica, NY, grew into a lifelong pursuit of making the invisible visible through images.

Nearly four decades at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) where he became Professor Emeritus in the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences.

Awards: BCA Schmidt Medal for Lifetime Contributions in Biomedical Photography and the RIT Eisenhart Award for Outstanding Teaching.

Global educator and speaker, leading workshops across Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa, and Australia.
