How It All Started
Michael Peres's journey into photography was shaped by a blend of curiosity, mentorship, and a willingness to embrace opportunity. Growing up in Utica, New York, he was influenced by a family that valued education and community involvement. His early academic experiences, particularly in science, sparked a fascination with the natural world. This curiosity led him to pursue degrees in biology and biomedical photographic communications, where he discovered the power of imagery in scientific exploration.
Embracing the challenges and uncertainties along the way, Peres built a career that seamlessly integrated his passions for science, education, and photography.
And now, Peres is passing on the art of photography to his grandchildren.
